Residential
Half baths, full baths and primary suites, from fixtures and a new floor to a full rebuild, with waterproofing and ventilation done properly.
This service is for homeowners with a bathroom that leaks, feels dated, or no longer fits the household: a half bath that needs a shower, a tub that is hard to step into, a primary bath that should be bigger. Jobs range from new fixtures and a floor to a full rebuild, and some include accessibility changes such as a curbless shower or blocking for grab bars.
We check the room and what is behind the walls, then settle fixtures, tile and layout.
Everything comes down to the framing, and any water damage is repaired before anything new goes in.
Plumbing and electrical, then the shower or tub area is waterproofed and checked before tile.
Tile and floor go in first, then the vanity, toilet, glass and trim.
Paint and hardware, then a walkthrough with a list of anything to adjust.
Bathrooms in a wet climate take moisture seriously. Shower and tub areas need a proper waterproofing system behind the tile, a floor that drains where it should, and an exhaust fan that vents outside. Fans that vent into an attic or a crawlspace are a common cause of moisture damage, and replacing one is often part of the job.
Bathrooms are also where old plumbing shows up: galvanized supply lines, cast iron drains and shutoff valves that have not turned in years. Behind a tub or shower in a house built before 1978 you may find lead-painted trim or materials that contain asbestos, so we raise testing before demolition.
Moving a drain to another wall turns a fixture swap into a remodel and can mean opening the floor below. Adding a bathroom to a house on septic is worth a call to Kitsap Public Health District before design, because septic systems are sized by use and bedrooms. Whether a permit is needed depends on the work, and the city or county where the house sits decides.
The office that issues the permit depends on the parcel. Start with the authority that covers yours.
The Estimate Desk gives a planning band for a bathroom renovation: a half bath, a full bath or a primary suite, with shower, vanity and floor as separate choices. It is a planning band, not a bid, and a site visit sets the number. The band assumes the existing plumbing stays on its current wall; moving a drain to a new wall makes it a remodel, not a swap.
What moves a bathroom's price: the size, the shower type (prefab or tiled), the tile and fixture level, whether plumbing moves, and what is found behind the walls. Rot or water damage under an old tub is common, and we hold a line for it.

Yes. Options include a curbless shower, blocking inside the walls for grab bars, a wider door and a comfort-height toilet. Blocking and door swing are the usual surprises, so we check them at the site visit. Grab bars are easiest to add while the walls are open.
The tile is not the waterproofing. A membrane or panel system behind the tile is, along with correct slope in the pan or floor. We explain which system we use and check it before tile goes on, so the water stays where it belongs.
We hold a line for it in the estimate, because old tub surrounds often hide water damage. If we find some, we show you, explain the repair, and agree on it before going on. Repairing it now costs less than finding it later.
Not the one being remodeled. If it is your only bathroom, we plan the schedule to keep that time short and talk about alternatives. Houses with a second bathroom are easier to live in during the work.
It can. Moving a drain may mean cutting the floor, working below it, and changing vent and supply lines. Keeping fixtures on their current walls is the most direct way to keep a bathroom remodel inside a budget.
A prefab unit is faster and simpler. A tiled shower allows custom sizes, niches and finishes, and costs more. Both can be built well, and the choice is one of the options in the Estimate Desk so you can see the difference.
