How this website handles your information
Privacy
We collect what we need to answer your request and to learn which pages help. Here is exactly what that is.
Last updated October 17, 2026
The short version
- We keep what you send us so we can reply and, if you hire us, run your project.
- We do not sell your information.
- Basic traffic counting is cookieless. Google Analytics only starts after you click, tap, type or scroll.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or you opt out below, Google Analytics never loads and we do not store where you came from.
- You can ask us to delete anything you sent us.
What you send us
When you call, text, email or use the quote form, we receive what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the kind of project, a rough location, and anything you write. The form also has an optional street address field for a site you have in mind. It helps us check zoning and access before a site visit, and you can leave it blank. If you use the Estimate Desk and send us the result, we also receive the choices you made there. Please do not put account numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive details in a form. You can give us those in person.
Form submissions are stored in a database on Cloudflare and sent to us by email through Resend, our email delivery service. Resend also sends you one confirmation message; it is a fixed text that does not repeat what you wrote. If our customer-records tool (HubSpot) is switched on, a copy goes there so we can follow up. If the optional AI summary is switched on, a Cloudflare AI model reads your message and writes a short summary and a draft reply for Ian. Those stay in our database and in his inbox, and are never sent to you.JKM Construction LLC reads these messages; we do not share them with advertisers or data brokers.
Photos, video and voice notes
After you send a request you can add photos, short video clips and a voice note. They are seen only byJKM Construction LLC and the tools we use to prepare your estimate. Photos are shrunk in your browser before they are sent, which also removes the location and camera details stored inside them; videos are sent as they are, plus a few still frames taken from them. The files are stored privately on Cloudflare (there is no public link to them) and are used only to prepare your estimate. We may use an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to draft a list of the work it sees, and Cloudflare to turn a voice note into text; Ian checks anything they produce before it is used, and neither service may use your files to train its models. Ask us and we will delete them.
To stop spam and floods of requests, Cloudflare sees your network address (IP address) when you send a form and counts requests from it. When that setting is configured, we also store a one-way scrambled version of the address (a salted hash), not the address itself, with your request.
Where you came from
The first time you visit, a small script saves a first-party cookie named jkm_attr for 90 days. It holds the page you landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link (utm_ values or an ad click ID). When you send a quote request, we attach it so we know which link or search brought you here. The cookie never leaves our own domain except inside that request.
Analytics
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. Counts page views and performance. It uses no cookies and does not follow you from site to site.
- Google Analytics 4. Loads only after your first interaction with a page, and never when Global Privacy Control is on or you have opted out. When it runs, Google sets cookies that start with
_gaand we see page and event data, such as which buttons get clicked.
Other services this site can load
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is being filled in by a person. It loads when you click into a form.
- HubSpot stores form submissions and, if we turn the chat on, runs a chat window. The chat loads only after you click its button.
- Resend delivers the email we receive about your request and the confirmation we send you.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database behind the forms and, if the AI summary is switched on, runs the model that writes it. It also stores any photos, video and voice notes you send, and can turn a voice note into text.
- Anthropic (Claude), if switched on, reads the photos you send to draft a list of the work for Ian. It does not keep them to train its models.
Some of these may not be switched on yet. This page describes what the site does for each one when it is on.
Your choices
Use the switch below to turn off analytics in this browser. It stops Google Analytics from loading, deletes the jkm_attr cookie and stops it from being saved again. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under the name jkm_analytics_optout. Cloudflare Web Analytics has no cookie to turn off.
Analytics is on in this browser unless Global Privacy Control is enabled.
You can also block cookies in your browser settings or use a browser or extension that sends the Global Privacy Control signal. We honor it automatically.
How long we keep things
We keep project inquiries for as long as we need them to respond and to build the project. Our database is cleaned up automatically: 24 months after you contact us, a daily job erases your name, email address, phone number, message, estimate choices, AI summary, scrambled network address, and any photos, video and voice notes you sent. What stays is a record with no personal details: the date, the project type and a lead score.
That clean-up covers the database only. Copies in Ian's email, in HubSpot and in the email delivery service's own logs are not erased automatically; we delete ours by hand when you ask, and the delivery service keeps its logs under its own terms. The attribution cookie expires after 90 days. If you want us to delete what you sent, email Ian@JKMBuild.com and we will.
