Ian Laughlin

Background

Ian Laughlin studied at Washington State University, where he double majored in Entrepreneurship and Management Operations and double minored in Construction Management and Human Resources.

After graduating in 2007 he joined a local commercial contractor. There he was a superintendent on dialysis and medical centers, banks and other commercial construction.

Growing a Kitsap contractor

In 2013 Ian became part owner of another contractor, where he worked on custom homes and apartments. He helped grow that small company from 5 employees to more than 70, acting as owner, superintendent and project manager when needed, until it was one of the largest contractors in Kitsap County.

JKM Construction

JKM Construction LLC was formed in 2020 so that father and son could pool their knowledge and resources and make their own mark in the area. Ian is the principal and your main contact: his cell is the number on every page of this site.

Ian is a LEED AP and a Sustainable Building Advisor, and he is glad to talk about building beyond the minimums of the Washington State Energy Code early in a project.
